The modern world runs on coffee. In countries like Finland, the average citizen consumes 10 kilogrammes (22 lbs approximately) of coffee per year.

But where does all that coffee come from? Coffee origins are incredibly varied, which each location adding its own little kick into the flavour. Most of it, however, is found in a “belt” between two latitudes, though.

With origins as varied as they are, it’s also no surprise that the types of drinks made from coffee are also so diverse. So whether you like espressos, cold brews, Turkish coffee, or just anything made from coffee, you can see where it all comes from on the graphic below.
